The cafe was really busy when we got there so expected to wait a while before being served but was pleasantly surprised that our meal did not take long at all.
We had to pay at the counter so were not able to order more drinks at our table which we would have if had been able, not a good way to sell more to the patrons.
I ordered the Prawn and Bacon salad, impressed with the number of prawns but there had to be a whole lettuce on the plate and it was drizzled with vinaigrette not aioli like the menu stated, and the garlic, wow my partner wouldn’t kiss me when i got home.
My friend ordered the Eggs Benedict which looked good but the hollandaise tasted very vinegary.
Overall the service was not very friendly, food was ok but i would definitely not be returning.

Was guttered when I went and got my lunch today. Ordered a roast vege salad small which looked good and came with gluten free aoli so that was a bonus. I took it back to work for my lunch and wasso anoyed when I opened it and there was no dressing but thought ok sweet as Ill put something else on it. Then bit into a kumara which was undercooked and hard and the rest of the veges wernt much better. Did I also say the small salad was $11 would not have brought it if it had a price on it in the counter.

My Partner, Daughter & I went to Zaggers for breakfast this morning & it was AMAZING.
I had the pancakes with berries, my Partner had the big breakfast & my daughter had a muffin which they heated for her & gave her some cream for…..the food was so good my partner & I were both full half way through our meals but continued to eat as it tasted so good.
The staff were very friendly & even gave my daughter some colouring pictures while she waited for her meal.
so all round we were very impressed with our meals & the service & then when we left one of the staff members even popped her head out the door to wish us a good day.
We will definitely be going back again

I’ve seen this cafe on my way into town everyday but didn’t try it until last week.
There was so much selection! Cabinets stocked full, impressive blackboard menu and specials menu.
Cafe was spacious and the manager was kind enough to let my girlfriends and I go into the boardroom part of the cafe to dine. Everything is spotless and staff are friendly especially the ‘more mature’ man (I’m guessing he may be the manager/owner??) very accomodating. Coffee good, nice and strong!
I’ve been here twice in a week now and will look forward to returning soon

My partner and I decided to try zaggers on Saturday morning just passed for brunch .Very disapointing. We ordered off the brunch menu , I had bacon and eggs on toast , My partner the big breakie , Both of us requested poached eggs. I also ordered a coffee ,iced tea and a smoothie.
We recieved the iced tea promptly, then waited a wee while for our breakie. Both of our eggs were overcooked , toast not toasted properly and bacon not very hot . I had not received my coffee or smoothie , received my coffee , which was not very good , milk way too hot and the coffee was bitter, Requested my smoothie takeway ,as still had not received and wanted to leave . Very disapointing. We dont go out that often and really is a treat for us, so when we do is horrible to go somewhere and think I could do better at home and that we just wasted $45. Wont be back.

We didn’t like the self-serve centered aspects of the cafe. We’d prefer it if the wait staff came to your table and took your order. Additionally, the service was extremely slow. We waited more than 45 minutes for a simple baked potato (which tasted like it had been microwaved) and a chicken burger (which was overly cheesy, but otherwise delicious). We weren’t the only customers with that problem either – one older lady waited an exceedingly long time for a simple toasted sandwich. Her dining partner went to check at the counter to see how long the sandwich would be and had to wait for a long time before she was acknowledged by any passing staff or anyone behind the counter. There didn’t seem to be all that many staff around, and they didn’t come to the tables at all or ask how the meal was. We also felt that being asked to pay before our meal (as opposed to paying after eating as in a more traditional service) was slightly rude. Although we can see why – given the long waits for food, we would have left if we hadn’t already paid. I might note the cafe wasn’t particularly busy, it was after lunch time (nearing 2 pm) and there were only 20 or so people there, some of whom had already eaten. Additionally, a number of the tables were dirty. Many were covered in salt and pepper and food scraps, and others had dirty cups and plates on them which weren’t cleaned up by the staff. Perhaps they expected us to wash our own dishes, as part of their self service philosophy. Overall, we felt that it was quite expensive, given the wait times, the lack of service and dirty environment. The food was good, but not exceptional and wasn’t enough to redeem the negative factors. Unfortunately, we probably wouldn’t eat at Zaggers again.
