Very nice wine selection and the food was amazing! My wife and I got a Godfather Steak and it was perfect. I also thought the atmosphere was lively and the staff were both helpful and professional.

been to vino a number of times and have never had any complaints! service is excellent, food is amazing and there’s a great selection of wines on the wine list. recommend to everyone! the best place to come to drink and eat in orewa if you’re looking for a good place.

I am not hard to please when it comes to wine bars. Good selection of wine by the glass and ice cold beers on tap served with a smile. We had a great afternoon of drinks interrupted by the occasional pizza.

Indoor and outdoor seating.

Well worth the trip into the square to find this place.

Been attending many James ray nights on Thursdays, love the live music, Delicious food, lovely bar staff and the overall atmosphere i would recommend Vino to anyone as its my new favourite

Also I think Vino should be open Mondays’!

I have been to Vino many times and have really enjoyed my times equally as much. There meals are consistently divine and also have faboulous service, very warming and friendly waitresses. good wine and squid to die for!

Let’s start with the good. Amazing NZ wine. Really let down by the food. Wife’s risotto was bland and over seasoned. My Paella tasted like it was cooked with a packet. never again!! I had used this site with great success before. Black Sugar in Mission Bay came highly recommended and was all we hoped it was going to be. But I may not trust the ratings again as this place was supposed to be 4.5 out of 5. Either we had a really bad meal from a good restaurant or the other patrons have no taste buds!

we found our new favourite place to eat in orewa tonight! nice atmosphere, friendly service and excellent food… the special pizza bread entree was amazing (with caramelised onions, feta, rock salt etc..) and my main of seafood paella was so tasty and the seafood was delicious and fresh… would recommend this fabulous restaurant to anyone

WOW! Thank you so much Vino Perfavore for making our daughters 21st celebration such a success, you were pleasing, willing and did your very best, to ensure we had a great evening and for us to expect nothing other than be welcome as guests. The food was amazing, the drinks flowed all night, coffee was tops and hot chocolates a delight. So thankyou so much for an evening so great.

Hi Nina. I love your restaurant and admire what you are creating. Up until now its where I have been proud to take both my ‘local’ and my ‘out of town” quests to dine. I did so this evening and while my pizza was at the usual excellent standard the steak ordered by my quests was not. Both steaks were thin and one was so overcooked it resembled a “well done and then some” rather than the “medium rare” ordered. Very disappointing. The replacement steak was cooked well but so grisly my quest could not eat it s fed it to my dog (a change from cicken he said:). Its not my way to complain but your business depends on your regulars so I thought I would give you some constructive feedback. Cheers

Thankyou so much for your review…we are sorry that your experience was not up to its usual standard..we have since then changed our steak supplier, and have had nothing but great comments since.

Went late on a Saturday evening and had desserts and a wine. Great service and THE most amazing chocolate brownie I have ever had. We’ll certainly be going back for more.
PS: We went back recently and had a full meal…just YUM. My new favouite place to eat in Orewa!
