My husband and I dined here recently and we were really impressed. The lovely refurbishment matched the perfectly cooked & presented food. Our steaks were succulent and the sides and wine complimented the steaks. Staff were really friendly and attentive. Thanks GrabOne for letting us know about this hidden gem in the city. We’ve already recommended it to friends who also tried and loved Stk and we’ll be back again ourselves.

Thanks Grab one and thanks to Blair for giving us this gift voucher!!! We had the best meals ever! If you love steaks you better check out this restaurant!
We were lucky to have this voucher for just $69 to try 2 mains, 2 side dishes and a Btl of wine. Its great to get to know a different place and to realize that the is a jewel in the corner of Federal and Kingston st!
If you go please try the Savannah Rib on the bone, the cauliflower and blue cheese gratin and of course don’t miss out the homemade caramelized onions that comes in the plate with your steak…
The staff is very friendly and professional and the restaurants deco is lovely. Thanks a lot and will see you soon

Nice atmosphere and food OK, but despite mentioning 3 times that we weren’t in a hurry, ended up with food in front of us at a speed that Burger King would envy (about 30 seconds gap between entree and main), so what started out as a special night out was over in a flash and a bout of indigestion from being forced to eat so quickly.

Food, was great’ish
Service, was BAD
While the food was tasty the entree was cold when it arrived, the main (steak) was well cooked but the condiments were quite bland and let the meal down as a whole.
The Service, OMG… After three choices of wine not available we had to have a house wine.. Ordered a bottle of wine was delivered a Glass. Entree delivered without cutlery and had to ask twice for this..
When these concerns were raised with the floor manager service did improve, so good on them for taking the concerns seriously

SPK Rydges Hotel Restaurant.
Terrific service from an Irish young lady indeed. Seafood chowder a good meal yes but brown bread could have included a side of butter or something to rid the taste of brown bread and the chowder …lol!
Wasnt happy with my steak dish from new spk menu, Asked for med’rare but found it to be rare in the very middle.. this is something that chef’s bugger up apart from visiting Tony’s steak house Mmmmmm! Anyway the mushroom drenched in oil and as for the “GPK” Style halved garlic clove was wayy too oily! Hardly touched the large flat mushroom.. I’d go to GPK for the halved garlic additive for any meal.

Absolutely Awesome, Finally!, Auckland has a decent place for excellent steaks, cool setting..And wow…the chateaubriand served at the table is to die for..
