Very disappointed with the service. A very unhelpful person who had a attitude problem towards customers. I observed ten potential customers walk out!!! I wont be back as thankfully there’s a couple of cafes nearby who are able to offer better service.

I went there the other day with some friend (thought we’d try somewhere different) and it was amazing!! don’t know what others are talking about. We read the reviews on here and thought we’d try it out for ourselves and find out.
Great staff, they were friendly and helpful and food was awesome! well done, we’ll defo be back

Last time I visited Savage Rock I experienced a very rude member of staff who was very arrogant and rude. I didn’t feel welcome and was offended by some comments that were made.
Wouldn’t recommend it purely because of the service.

Our first time here last week and we were disappointed. Staff were friendly though some what casual. My flat white was luke warm and poorly made, the hot choc was flat and not at all chocolaty. I had french toast which was awesome but our lunch was spoilt by disinterested staff and obnoxious music. A cafe is the not place for the edge radio station loudly playing dance tracks and ads.

this was an amazing experience wow the food was superb the sea food chowder was the best we have ever had and the scallops i wanted to order another one but thought it might look greedy but it was explained that they do a main in it so I’m definitely going back to eat more of this lovely food. after eating at the savage i realized other places i had eaten at where second rate compared to the savage rock boy do they know how to cook food and all prepared fresh on the spot marvelous i give them ********** ten stars yummy cuisine at is absolute very best. Thank you can i suggest to those who had a good experience but found the second not so good, they have a new chef now and the food is amazing cheers

My friend recommended this place to me (otherwise I wouldn’t consider going) so I went there for dinner with a small group of friends. Food was good (kinda surprised me really) compare with those fancy restaurants in town. I had duck and it was chewy and very fatty but tasted good. Garlic bread was ok, I had better. Chocolate brownie was great. Everyone else enjoyed their food. The male staff was very polite but a wee bit slow to bring out desert menu but we weren’t in a hurry so it was ok. The female staff was very friendly. We all had a really great time last night, thank you. One of the front door made a lot of noise when in use and it’s kinda annoyed.

The food at Savage Rock is delish! The service is friendly and fast. My kids love the children’s meals and the staff always make them feel welcome.

We enjoyed dining at SAVAGE ROCK very much. Service was great, nothing was a bother to the staff, Meal was delicious, didn’t have to wait long for meal. The fish was yummy and so was the dessert.
Cheers to the chefs and waiting staff, will definitely return to SAVAGE ROCK

SAVAGE ROCK has become my FAV place to eat!!! Everything is sooooo YUMMY and the presentation is EXCELLENT and the turn around time is very quick!!

Environment, Food, Staff, and especially the CHEF is AWESOME……

Recommendations: Garlic Bread, French Toast, Seafood Chowder, Fish of the Day, EVERYTHING is yummy……..

I went to Savage Rock yesterday evening for dinner and it was outstanding! The service was amazing and the food is the best I have ever had.

In their menu they mention the garlic bread ‘the best you will ever have’ and it was! I had the scotch fillet and my partner had the duck and we were very happy! Chocolate brownie for desert was a great top off!

The waitress was awesome. So friendly and always had a smile and was always happy to help.

I would highly recommmend this restaurant to all. It is now my new favourite restaurant in Hamilton!!!

I went here today for a pice of cake with cream.
I was surprised to find it was gluten free and no extra charge for cream.
The waitress had a arm tattoo but was really good at her job.
The cake was good and only $4.

My daughter and I have been going there all year for the odd meal – finally a very nice place to eat with great food.

There is one lovely waitress and one not so fab – but she is learning and getting on. We forgive her.

I was very disppointed with this restaurant. There were 4 other couples in the restaurant. We waited 1 1/2 to get our meals, we were only the second table to eat in that time. It was almost $50 alone for 2 small children which I thought was horrendous especially considering the size of the meals and our meals were over cooked and dry. We won’t go back!

I have been to this restaurant before and the food was amazing so we went back on the 31/10 to find quite the opposite. I had the Chicken Pasta and it was a case of spot the chicken, I’m still looking! and it was very bland and my partner had the pork belly it is very fatty and flat also. Service wasn’t that great either we didn’t get asked if we wanted sides and the glasses of wine were very small. I won’t be rushing back thats for sure which is disappointing as the prices were reasonable 9 months ago and the food was awesome.
Wanted to email them to let them know but doesn’t look like they have a email address.

I am i bit disappointed really as a friend recommended we go there the girl that was serving was not very bubbly and the coffee was pouring onto the saucer she stunk of cigarette smoke over all would not go back.

The food was absolutely divine! As good as any of the fancier restaurants in town, and on a Tuesday night too. All 4 of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals, service was fantastic for a small suburban restaurant. Children’s meals were a little bit fancy for our kids – chicken was marinated, sausage was kransky, but they were entertained by the large blackboard they could draw on anyhow, and were fairly well behaved. Thank you for a lovely surprise Savage Rock, will definitely be back!

Very good dinner, food was excellent. Drinks were good too .

My only complaint was that the chairs were a little uncomfortable, but if that’s all I’ve got to moan about then it can’t have been too bad.

Great for groups, and I’m sure families with children.

What an excellent experience we had dinning here. There was a large group of us (18) I was so impressed that all our starters & Mains came out at the same time so we could all eat each course together.With a large group like this it just does not happen in other places we have dined in. The staff were awesome & the food was amazing. Price certainly did not reflect the food. We got a real bargain!!! We will be back….

Fantastic place. Love the pork with the Taro and Kumara

Service was great and they are very kid friendly.

Would dine there again any time. Keep it up Savage Rock.

The food is great! service was a little tiny bit slow but otherwise worth the wait for the garlic bread and dukkah yummy
