Had their Chicken Vindaloo (Hot), while girlfriend had the Lamb Malabari and they were both delicious dishes.
The mango lassi & butter naan is also nice.

My friend and I have been here several times and have never been disappointed. The food is awesome and the service is immaculate. We always choose the Sangeet Special Chicken as our entree, can’t go past it. The accompaniments they serve it with make it that much better. We usually go for the Butter Chicken. I’ve tried their Kormas as well, but always come back to the Butter Chicken. The portion sizes are good, we can never finish everything. We always spend far too much here but it’s worth it!

First time visit this restaurant. We had the the sangeet special for entree which was really nice, not very impressed with the mint chutney it was too sweet. Not really a mint chutney. The main was ok, butter chicken again very very sweet. Enjoyed the butter naan most. Dessert the kulfi is frozen solid. In general okay food and service.

By far the best Indian restuarant on the south side of town. Have been a regular customer for years and have seen the service and food quality grow with time. We have organised several group dinners and our guests have always had praise for the impeccable service and great food, served with the warmth you would expect from an Indian restuarant.

This is an excellent place especially what I liked was providing the Five Star Hotel Service by somebody opening the door for you and greeting you as well. The Service is really Good and you have a Warm and Loving feeling being there. The food Quality is also Great, what you expect from an Indian Cuisine.

I stopped visiting Sangeet a few months ago because of sub-standard food quality. This evening I gave them another shot because everyone deserves a second chance and the location suited me.
Lamb Shish Kebabs were of the consistency of sausages. Enough said.
The accompanying mint sauce had no trace of yoghurt and was dominated by what tasted like spearmint milk shake flavouring (it also had the fluorescent artificial green colouring to match).
The Chicken Tika Marsala tasted predominately of tomato soup concentrate. It was appalling to say the least.
The Lamb Madras was a lamb casserole soup with grated coconut.
I strongly suspect that the food served at Sangeet is exactly the same food that is served at a local “Food Station/Junction” (next door to Lone Star Manuaku) for half the price charged.
Food tonight was $64 something, including a glass of what was supposed to be Sav Blanc.
The same food (or same quality food) that is sold at the Food station/junction would have been half the price.

thanks a lot Mr davinder.
when somebody go to restaurant,he must be in good mood bro,i think that DAT does not make any sense to go out to eat if you are not in good mood.
i was in pretty good mood when i went to grab 2 portions of chilli chicken.yeah on the other side, iwas not well after trying the first bit of chilli chicken.trust me bro, their is nothing which i am exaggerating the matter.i am telling you the truth.it was awful smell and the mint chutney was more like shake of mint.i mean it does not have any Indian taste.
another side that every coin has two faces,so bro do not ignore the guest comments.the big companies spend lot of time and money to get guest review.
every one does mistake,i have try ed your food just once which was chilli chicken.now days i prefer to have another cuisine than Indian if i am in manakau.
another thing,as you said your seventeen years of having high quality of food.but this is hard to beleive that you have same chef since seventeen years.coz i ma belong to hotel industry as well in food and beverage operations.whenever your chef change it effects your food quality even you are using the same ingredients or method.

This is the best Indian restaurant in New Zealand. Food is fantastic, service is awesome. I’ve been many times and have never had a bad experience yet. We’ve taken many friends, and they have become hooked as well. You will NOT be disappointed!

I’d agree with reviews so far. Consistently one of the better Indian food places around central manukau. Service is normally good as well.

Consistant quality of food, fast polite service and good setting, even accomodated us when they were already hosting a big function. Only 2 negative comments was on one visit we were SURE the whiskey was watered down, when we commented we were brought a round on the house…. and there was a new waiter who could have had more training as he was useless, however we will definatly go back as we really like the food.

Excellent little restaurant – probably the best round south as far as I’m concerned (One of the best in my personal experience).
Food is excellent across the board, they are consistent which is to be commended when in comes to Indian i believe.
The place has lots of parking and inside is neat, clean and tidy. Service is excellent and food gets to you in a timely manner. It’s never crowded and perfect if you want quiet!
All an all – well recommended.
