The food was fantastic it was authentic Mediterranean cuisine and was full of flavour. The serving sizes were great value for money.
We will definitely be back to try out the rest of the menu.

went there the other night for dinner.
the layout of the restaurant was unique and warming.
nice atmosphere, great service, the staff was very helpful and friendly, made us feel welcome.
The food was delicious. will definitely return again

Just had our Staff dinner at Sahara Tent Hamilton, i would recommend this place to anyone. The atmosphere was great, Food menu was good with vegetarian options and the manager was very helpful as were the staff. We also had a belly dancer who really added value to the evening with some off our staff joining her lol. The place also has a nice authentic feel to it, would recommend to others and go again

We used to go to this restaurant alot – had good food and great atmosphere. I think it has been sold recently as we went there recently – was dreadful. Terrible food and terrible service. I don’t think the chefs are turkish or trained in Turkish food – the taboleh was lettuce and parsley! Very disappointing restaurant now unfortunately. When we complained about our meal the manager argued with us

Food wasn’t too bad but definately not worth what they were charging! Staff were rude, atmosphere was severly lacking, manager was rude, toilets looked in worse shape than many local bars at 3am. Overall very disappointing.

Went for a Birthday party with friends.. Went for the banquet, while the food was quite good, the amount of food was on the low side and we had to keep asking for more. Staff were nice and the prices were not too bad.

Update Sept 2010 – Well as a yearly tradition for a friend that always wants go to this restaurant.. The Sahara Tent has got worse and we will be changing restaurant for next year. The food has gone down hill, and with the banquet you have to ask for the food constantly as they just DON’T want to bring you more and the staff are rude and abrupt. The waitress stood on my foot five times in two hours and gave up apologizing after the third time, there was no apple tea, no turkish delight… and this is a Turkish restaurant……

past so many times when i visited sahara tent we had lot of complaints mainly on staff. but last time we visited with a group of 8 people they have entirely changed my concept about the resturant. the customer service was excellent.keep it up all the best for management and staff.

I have been twice, first time it was great, food was great, expensive but was worth it. The 2nd time, for my birthday.. wel! i had about 25 ppl, and we were supposed to have the tent plus tables. instead we got stuck on a huge long table, we then got served.. 1hour later. Differently not enough food for $37pp! then went upstairs to the function room.. no lights, broken toilets and no cash in till and music wouldn’t work.. so after standing around, we all left and went to mc’ds to fill up.. will not be going again, a real shame as it has plenty of potential.

Have been a few times in past and was not impressed, but after visiting last week I think i have a change of heart. Lovely food, service was great, very friendly young lady.Really enjoyed meal and everyone I went with did too!!

Good food and nice atmosphere. Mango chicken is superb. Food should probably be a bit less expensive though.

Worst dining experience in a long time. Upstairs room smelled musty, lock broken on toilet. Service was poor, no explanation of fixed menu and when we commented at the end of the night that there was not enough food we were told that it was all you could eat. This was never explained earlier. When we continued to complain we were asked to leave and told no one else had ever complained.

been to sahara tent three times in the last six months. had good service and good food all three times. love the music. worth going to.
