I am such a fan of this restaurant – what an assett to Whangarei! Fabulous professional staff – young – but just lovely and welcoming.
My friends and I definately recommend this place for a great “girls night out” and no wonder the bathrooms are talked about they are the nicest in town!
Excellent well priced food and ambiance and a huge selection. just go there its great!

I don’t rate this place at all. I should have known better than to order steak at a pizza place but did it anyway.
It’s not the food that is bad but the lack of attention to detail.
Our steak came out with no bacon even though the menu stated they would be wrapped in bacon. There were no steak knives on the table nor any pepper for the steak. We had to request both of these. The menus were not taken away after we had ordered but left sitting on the table which was already too small.
We mentioned all this to the owner who was completely unapologetic after asking our opinion. Gave us a complimentary $5 tub of ice cream each (I hate ice cream.) She then made reference to how great the bathrooms and decor are. REALLY – I didn’t go there to look at her bathrooms. I found it completely unprofessional and the lack of customer skills here would prevent me from returning, along with the pricing. High end pricing for low end service. Must comment the steak was not bad at all just missing bacon and overcooked.

When I ordered the pizza, to takeaway I specified four times that I wanted NO anchovies.

The receptionist wrote this onto the order.

When I opened the pizza, the base was very undercooked and it had the dreaded anchovies.
I rang the next day and was only given a brief apology from a Ms Vine who is the manager.
There was no offer of a pizza as I had ordered, or a refund.

It was a disappointment as I rarely get to a pizza outlet and it was a treat for this older person

I will take it back next week as we only tried a slice each.
I don’t want another one I’ll never deal there again.

They have no customer management skills.

We took my parents here for a ‘thank you’ dinner for a favour they had done us. It was a Friday night and the place was booked out – this was evidently the reason the serving staff were run off their feet. Drinks took 20 minutes to arrive and the pizzas took an hour. Once they arrived they were reasonable, and we had leftovers for the next day. Overall, our feeling was one of disappointment – the restuarant seem to have become victims of their own success and can’t keep up with the orders. If you want to go here, ask for a table away from the kitchen/bar as for most of the night we were listening to the chef shouting (to himself? His team? Not sure!). We did get a small discount of $6.5 (25% off my pizza because it came out a lot later than the others due to the waitress putting it down as a takeaway, not a dine-in). Anway, would recommend for a lunch or dinner early in the week – but if you book for a Friday night dinner prepare for a lengthy wait!

Great food and decor. Staff very friendly but need to pick up the pace. Very professional when this was advised. Although this is up to the restaurant manager to help servers be more efficient.

Red Pizzeria is very unassuming at first, from the outside looking in, but once they welcome you into their fantastic new venue, you can see and feel you are in for something quite special. It surrounds you in its casual yet classy fitout, the booths are great for an intimate/private ‘a’fare’ or the outdoor area to bask in the afternoon sun are a real treat. The staff are just superb – friendly, professional & efficient. The food is all class with generous helpings and very well priced. This is just what Whangarei needed and will definitely make it a regular, any other restaurant around town could learn a thing or two…or a lot Reva’s…

Really liked this place. Great food (especially the antipasto platter), service and ambiance. I like the intimacy of the booths and our pizza was delicious. All in all I thought the meal and drinks were pretty good value for money. I would definitely go back!

when dinning what is the most important thing? image? no, RED Pizzeria has quality venue, with a satisfactory website that paints a blue-ribbon picture of the food. but the fact of the matter is that this is false. i have been twice, thus give them a second chance, the service is inferior as i had to wait over 45 minutes for my pizza. the quality of the pizza unpleasant for what you expect for the price, and calming it is Italian is disrespectful. you are better of going to pizza hut.
the truth is we all die. The goal isn’t to live forever, the goal is to create something that will, and ‘RED Pizzeria’ just killed pizza.
