One of the few on-line reservations I have made and had to make a toll call to confirm the reservation as no return email received. After hearing such good things about the Pear Tree, I have to say I was a little dissappointed, after choosing lamb for the open sandwich, then to find they didn’t have any lamb, I made a wrong choice with the salmon, as it was not what I was expecting. We finished off with a delightful caramel tart. Would not be rushing back, although everyone deserves a second chance.

One of a kind, Pear Tree is great combination, behind the scenes they are the best kind of professional chefs, in the front of house all is as it should be, a warm, generous and relaxed atmosphere where nothing is too much trouble…..highly recommended and great value too

These guys are great! A year or two back I visited their Paihia restaurant, excellent! Now moved on. The new Kerikeri one is lovely. Good fresh largely local produce, friendly staff, tasty and best quality meals, superb. Pricing, good value for the standard of excellence, no surprises. Tasty menu, interesting combinations: I enjoyed tiger prawns and pork loin and spinach and more as main; an unlikely combo but great balance! Recommended!

The location is hard to beat, stunning. The food is awesome and beautifully presented, thanks to the foodologist. Service was good too. Will be back soon.

Excellent food, beautiful views of the river, and great service. The owner owned a restaurant in Paihia before moving to Kerikeri. Please come back, we loved your restaurant. Kerikeri is most fortunate to have such a quality restaurant. You won’t be dissapointed. Enjoy.
