Reviews for Mecca Devonport

1st April 2012-
This was a disaster. We ordered the seafood platter and when it came out the only word to describe it was disappointing. It was all cold and quite frankly inedible. The biggest waste of 50$ and a great way to ruin an afternoon out would not recommend and certainly will not be returning.

Thought we would take advantage of the grabone offer at the Mecca, Devonport. Fantastic deal, hope they do it again, but if not they still have our business. Delicious food, great atmosphere and service was impressive. Thank You

We recently took an older relative to lunch at Mecca and were pleasantly surprised. We were a party of five and were pleased to have a more interesting choice of meals than is usually offered at lunchtime especially for the men in our group who prefer a more substantial meal than the likes of burgers and BLTs.
There was also a good choice of drinks and coffees and we were well pleased with the size and quality of the meals. The staff were very attentive without being obtrusive, and we all agreed we would be back again.

Not recommended at all.
We ate there for the first and last time just recently. The service was amature at best. The wine list was very limited, and even then, not all the wines were available. Specific requests on ordering the food were ignored. The mains were ok at best. Plenty of basic errors such as no salt & pepper, missing plates etc. Oh, and the $30 cheese plate was the saddest most sorry affair that looked like it had been left out in the sun all day.
Expensive and extremely poor. I’ll certainly never go again.

One of the very few restaurants in Devonport where the food is edible. Good service, well presented and delicious food, everything tastes fresh made.
