Overview

“The tofu is excellent, the nasi lemak is a true and flavourful interpretation of Malaysia’s national dish, and the ever-popular beef rendang is particularly moreish.” – said Cuisine magazine. Malaysia Delights used to be a little oasis of Malaysian food down Manchester St. Thankfully, it’s now found a spot in Papanui, so fans of Malaysian cuisine can still enjoy the real thing, right here in Canterbury. There is a shortage of Malaysian Cuisine in Christchurch. Purveyors of meat drenched in peanut sauce they call Satay, yes, but real Malaysian Cuisine. Not much. So all you aficionados out there will be thrilled to find Malaysia Delights Restaurant. With the mains priced around $13, but where else will you find Penang Lobak, Nasi Lemak, Roti Chanai, Penang Fried Kueh Teow and Laksa. If you know your hawker food, I imagine you are already revving down to the Restaurant. If you’ve never tried Malaysian Food. Now you can

For me, most worthy of recommendation snacks and staples, of course, Malaysia’s traditional snacks satay skewers, Indian fried rice, and coconut milk. This chicken satay skewers, extremely mellow, so I want to eat eat. The crispy Indian pancakes, eaten with curry stained elements, but also quite delicious. As for the coconut milk rice, although not comparable with Malaysia, but Sambal sauce taste pretty good. Able to eat home food in a foreign country, in fact, be a blessing.

Good attentive service. Food fresh and quickly cooked. I have eaten twice at budget price and very good value too.
Budget and full price get equal service.
Thank you. Friendly but not intrusive.
