I notice the last review was a while ago,
I have liked this place for ages,but there has been a change in ownership and it has been steadily losing custom from then on and in,and is now not half as good as it was.
First the salads went down in quality, being kept for days and not nice and fresh like they were ,you can taste it eh!
Then the price took a sharp leap.It was never cheap but that was offset by the great product,now its “expensive” and on the whole ordinary.
I have been still going for the Coffee tho and avoiding the food because of the price,last time I went and as hungry I try ed again .
Ordered a veg hash cake with a double shot Coffe and asked for green salad ,got what I asked for but it cost me 17$ which after all was just a mashed potato shape and 50 grms of lettuce mix.”Ouch”
I’m going to go elsewhere now, I expect a bite but this is over the line.I’m joining the hordes who no longer drive up.
So my advice is that if you go there expect to have you’re pocket pinged.

What a wonderful find! I travel through Whenuapai quite a lot and had always thought it a culinary desert but this place changes all that. Lovely fresh food, wicked desserts, excellent staff. Only downside is that the road outside can be a bit noisy as drivers ignore the speed limit. We decided that this would be one of our regular lunch spots.

I am running past this place on a regular basis and discovered today that they are now open on a Saturday and Sunday. After my 18km run I’ve decided that it is time to check out this place and it was worth it. Lombardi’s is serving Altura Coffee with a smile, very tasty food and other yummy treats.
