The Jimmy Cafe and Bar is a vibrant cafe by day, and a stunning bar by night: the heart of Wellington’s arts community. Jimmy’s serves great coffee, breakfast, lunch and a wide variety of affordable counter food to eat in or take away. On show nights The Jimmy transforms into a stunning bar serving pre and post show drinks and pre-show dining (booking essential) for selected performances. The Jimmy is the informal headquarters of Wellington’s thriving arts community, providing a home for the arts community, right within the grand foyer of St James Theatre. Happy Hour at The Jimmy is every Friday from 5pm-6.30pm. Keep an eye on our website for details of local musicians playing during Happy Hour. The Jimmy has a unique atmosphere in the heart of Wellington’s entertainment district that you are sure to appreciate whatever the time of day.

Fantastic location and atmosphere for a social outing or business meeting. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Great food, coffee and entertainment. Really enjoy Happy Hour entertainment on a Friday and a yummy brunch at the weekend! Highly recommend : )

I eat brunch here quite regularly at the weekends. The menu offers a large variety of delicious food – and their hollandaise sauce is the best in Wellington
