Reviews for Japanese Cuisine Haru

6th August 2010-
What a great find!!! We were looking through the 2010 Auckland Entertainment Book and found a voucher for Haru and decided to give it a try… and now it would be one of my favourites!
The two staff members were so lovely and even taught us how to correctly hold chop sticks and made us their famous Salmon Fireball Sushi <>
We had gyozi and edamame beans for entree to share and their famous home made chicken teriyaki as the main. This came with rice and miso.
We will definately return and recommend this to everyone!

Recently we have just moved into albany area and decided to try the food at Haru. We actually really enjoyed it!Their chicken teriyaki is absolute delicious. We never thought we would really like Japanese Food that much.
We will definitely go back there again.

We went to Haru for an early family dinner tonight, expecting the same excellent quality we have experienced there on visits over the past couple of years. However, the staff were new and we assume so is the management. Instead of a crisply dressed chef we expected from before, we could see the kitchen staff dressed casually – one wearing his Pak’n'Save polo shirt…
The food was not as good as before – just average, more like food court quality. Not terrible, but not as good as before and served kind of lukewarm.Comment from chanthy c. of Japanese Cuisine Haru 10/12/2009Hi Thank you very much for your comment based on your… More »
