Popped in ere for a quick lunch while shopping at Frankton. Meal was OK. Service friendly. Decor a little dated.

The absolute best gluten free pizzas we have ever tasted anywhere!! Always dine here when visiting Queenstown.

We live very close to Hamill’s so visit them regularly and are never disappointed. I always choose the chefs special as its always delicious.
Its a friendly casual place but the food is consistently good.
great place to take the kids as there is a little play area down the back.
The staff are fantastic, providing the kids with coloring in every time

Can I just say churrr!
Hamills is a bar and restaurant located at Frankton, not far from Queenstown Airport. It has very much a cafe/bistro feel about it but the meals are a small step up from bistro styled fare.
It has a great outdoor seating area which oversees the cars coming into the Frankton shopping centre. Inside, there’s your standard tables and chairs but a few couches and more comfortable booths.
My wife chose to have a pizza, whilst I had the sweet corn and smoked chicken chowder. The food was very good and mine came with a side of bread as well – which isn’t stated on the menu. Unlike some chowders, this one had lots of chunky bits to it and was incredibly thick without being overly sickeningly rich.
The service was pretty good also. The table hadn’t been wiped down from the last lot of people but apart from that, this was a good experience.
In terms of pricing, given how expensive food is in Queenstown Lakes – it was pretty good value as well.
Would recommend the chowder to anyone who is shopping at Frankton and needing somewhere for lunch.
