Loved this place! Great atmosphere, friendly service and the food is to die for! I can highly recommend the Bistecca di Fratelli
Wood fire roasted Sirloin of Beef on a baked Mushroom, Prosciutto & Potato Cake with a salad of Manuka smoked Beef, Basil roasted Tomato & Garlic !! Both my husband & I had this, and just didn’t want to finish eating it!! Visited Fratelli’s after reading the reviews, and certainly wasn’t disappointed! Will be back again on our next visit to Welligton

Fratelli celebrates good food. I found the atmosphere somehow lacking, despite the streets outside buzzing with rugby fans. But the service was charming and the food truly lovely. I had the fish of the day (snapper, pan-fried and melt in the mouth) and an asparagus and scallop starter – which was cooked to perfection. The only down note was a side of brocolli. It wasn’t bad, but the sliced almond topping seemed to have come from pre-chopped from a supermarket bargain pack – they were soft and tasteless.

We were really impressed with Fratelli.

Arrived without a booking last Saturday night and the place was humming. Our group of four women were immediately made to feel welcome. My friends went for the fish of the day and loved it. I had the mushroom risotto which was DIVINE and I was the envy of my friends. Don’t you just love it when you pick the dish that everyone wishes they had ordered, after it arrives looking, smelling and tasting so good?

The place looked and felt great; service was fantastic; staff were friendly; wine & water were replenished promptly; and meals were served in good time. Fratelli gets a ‘Highly recommended’ from me!

Delicious! True authentic Italian food, friendly staff, cool little restaurant and 2 great managers who always seem to be there but I’m too shy to ask if they are the brothers that own it but my guess is that they are. Great value for money too

I had heard that Fratelli had a new chef, and that I wouldn’t be disappointed.
A great recommendation – a great Italian restaurant.

After reading all the reviews of this restaurant, we decided on celebrating my husbands birthday there. The Piatto del Antipasto was delicious. As was the flat bread. However I thought the mains were not very exciting. I had the Tagliatelle con Polpette. The sauce was too rich, too much tomato paste I think. My daughter had the Mussels with pasta, which was uninteresting and boring. All it consisted of was plain pasta with a few mussels on the edge. The other 2 in our party enjoyed their main courses. We could not fault the service.

Such a fantastic place to go for dinner, I really can not rave Fratelli enough.

The service was attentive without being intrusive, the food was delicious and the prices very reasonable.

The flat bread with roasted garlic, rosemary and sea salt is the best entree I have had in my life, no lie.

Great food, nice surroundings – waitress struggled with who was where, and had ordered what; but a minor detraction really. Been here before and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

Food was very nice and very reasonably priced. Portions were just the right size for three courses. Excellent wait staff, very friendly and attentive. Fairly small menu but good variety of dishes. Only criticism is they did not have a high chair for our one year old daughter.

This place has got to be of the best places to go for Italian food. Downside you cannot book a table for less than 6 people. Great ambience and good quality although mains could be a big bigger in portion size.
