This place was one of the many highlights of my very wet summer holiday. The many coffees I had there were perfect, the chocolate truffles were also delicious. The café’s setting in the middle of a native bush is awesome and is calm and peaceful most of the time.
Even when the place is packed, the staff still check in on you with a smile and even gave us a few tasters of a new recipe!
Will be back soon.

Ate here last night was amazing, but we waited a while we were there before a lot of diners and got served last! I wasnt sure if it was because i was walking around outside for a half hour or so with my baby to calm him and i was waiting for food before i wanted to go in but didn’t arrive til 15 mins after i sat down!! Any who when THE GARLIC PRAWNS arrived they were thee best ever I wish they were a Main instead of starter after that I didn’t care about waiting they were so darn good! I got lamb loin for main it was great but i wanted more prawns and my partner got market fish (pan seared snapper) was awesome and dessert was pannacotta was soooo delish I wanted more!! Also got a white choco parfait wasn’t too impressed with choco soil but everything else was sooo lovely which is good coming from me i hate going too restaurants cause i hate being disappointed with grose food but this is not one of those i am so returning for some more of this amazing restaurant!! Keep it up guys

Had the best steak I’ve ever had at the restaurant – it was so delicious, the presentation was first class and loved the settings and the friendly staff. Definitely worth a visit when you are in Kerikeri.

As locals we eat out at Wharepuke frequently, the tropical setting, the food and staff are great. Friday night Thai banquets are great if you love trying different Thai dishes always come away satisfied.
Whenever people ask for a good place to eat, or friends and family come and stay, we always recommend Wharepuke, and no one has come away disappointed.
Well worth trying out while visiting the Far North.

Exceptional food, freshly prepared, and wonderful service. Totally gourmet. You won’t be dissapointed and the gardens are also beautiful. We need this in Paihia.

This is my favourite cafe/restaurant.
The owners are very lovely, friendly people. They treat you special whether you just buy a coffee or have a meal.
The food is always beautifully presented and very tasty. The menu offers a variety of dishes.
The setting is like being in the Islands. So beautiful and peaceful. You even see wood pigeons.
If you have guests this is a delightful place to take them. Check Wharepuke out for yourself and see if you agree with me!

As well traveled people we have spent the last 15 years dining out in many different countries. The food at Wharepuke stood out as one of our highlights. The flavours were fresh, crisp and clean and cooked to perfection. A real taste of Thailand with a twist. Its menu was well balanced with some European add ins that accommodated my husbands tastes with a nice juicy steak. The service was well executed and the prices very reasonable. We will definitely be back!

I’m a vegetarian (and a Northland local) and have previously found its been a struggle to find places that consistently have a variety (if any) of vegetarian options available.
Thankfully FOOD has solved the problem!
They really do make the most incredible vegetarian meals! The Mushroom Lasagne is the best!!
I love that FOOD not only has a variety of delicious meals available that cater for everyone, but they have the most beautiful setting and always provide impeccable service.
If you’ve not eaten here yet then you really are missing out!

I am a local in Kerikeri and so have enjoyed Food at Wharepuke several times. It never fails to provide delicious food and I just love sitting outside surrounded by the sub tropical gardens. A must to try if you are in Kerikeri! Great service, food and people.

We had our wedding service and reception at Wharepuke and I cannot say enough about how absolutely fantastic the food and the staff are.
We had eaten there several times and being so impressed with the food and the surroundings, thought how wonderful it would be to be married there.
And wonderful is exactly what it was.
After the wedding service in the lush garden, we had the most delicious canapes served as peopled mingled in the garden.
Our reception was in the top class amazing restaurant nestled in amongst subtropical gardens- a staff served, sit down, three course meal.
The food was absolutely outstanding! The chef is extremely talented, with each plate looking spectacular and the food delicious.
The staff are extremely efficient, helpful, attentive and they were constantly smiling.
Guests commented that the food was the best they have ever eaten at a wedding, with the quality being that which you would expect at a world class 5 star restaurant.
As soon as you arrive at Wharepuke, you feel like you are at a Pacific Island tropcial resort. It blows you away.
The staff at Wharepuke made our day absolutely perfect, and we definitely recommend dining there, and getting married there.
It was a divine venue, with the food, the service, and the atmosphere completely sublime.
We wouldn’t change one thing about our wedding day. Wharepuke made our day the happiest day of our lives, and they will make your nights dining wedding day one that you and all of your guests will remember forever!

An american friend took us to dinner and we have since been back for our wedding anniversay. Both dinners have been the best I have had in the bay for many years and the location is just stunning. Meals have a thai influence and every dish bursting with flavour. Definitely recommend this restaurant and we will be going back again, and again…
