We used to live in Marlborough, I recently returned for a holiday with my Husband and children we ate out a considerable number of times and by far this was the best meal we had. The food was fantastic and the service was faultless. We had a group of 8 adults and 5 children we were well looked after. I would recommend this place to families it was wonderful and very well priced.

I really liked the friendly staff especially the teenage boy with glasses kitchen hand who always smiled at us from the kitchen. The meals were fantastic. I really loved the Mars Bar cheesecake they had on offer. The beef and bacon burger i had was very yum with a rich bbq sauce. my friend had the seafood chowder with a free piece of garlic bread which was apparently the best seafood chowder he had ever had. the toilets were ok but could have been better. I think this restraunt was fantastic. it also has a bar attached so their is a much bigger range of drinks to choose from. I have been their several times and i usually see the friendly kitchen hand, so whoever he is HELLO.

If you like good old-fashioned food then you’ll love the Ferryman. I went there to celebrate my partner’s 60th birthday. His parents were also present. The old couple had lamb shanks that they really enjoyed. There was the option to have one or two shanks. My partner’s father also had bacon and mushroom soup which from the rate it vanished must have been good. They followed with a fruit crumble. I started with deep fried camembert, and my partner and I shared a fisherman’s basket. This was a generous size and had a good selection of various types of seafood. We then shared a piece of chocolate cake with a whisky sauce which proved to be plenty for two and an indulgent dessert.
