This is a good place to go for a business lunch. It’s not too busy – so it’s nice & quiet for a private business meeting. The food was quick, well-presented, and tasty. It’s nice to sit out the back under the natural light too.

Went here with a voucher. Very good value for money. Even without the voucher the meal is well worth it. Platters excellent. Recommended

I more often come in for lunch at Empire’s Garden bar. Very lovely staff, food is great. We also come in for after work drink’s , guy’s behind the bar they know how to pour pint and they are very professional. I had the Cocktail called “Late night Hooker”, made by the indian guy, i should say the best cocktail i ever had. Over all very friendly atmosphere and good service. Keep it up.

We used our discount vouchers to claim for a dinner meal for two. Hoping to try their ‘famous’ pork ribs – they didn’t have any that day (it’s hard to believe that pork ribs ran out at 6.30pm on a Saturday evening!) which really disappointed us. So we had to settle for a plate of herb lamb cutlets and the Scotch fillet. We also had soup of the day (seafood) and garlic bread.
Our meals were disappointingly average, not the ‘hearty pub meal’ we expected. The lamb cutlets lacked taste, while the fillet was pretty dry (despite asking for medium rare). The portions were also rather abysmal.
Too much hype for a place that’s famous for its array of entertainment activities (comedy night, quiz night, etc.). I don’t think I’ll ever return.

Went here last Friday for a work lunch. As we were a large group, we pre-ordered our meals to assist the kitchen and wait staff. This was a good idea as it meant most of the meals came out around the same time. Quality varied between the different dishes – my vegetarian pizza, which sounded really good on the menu, was bland and disappointing, steaks were either cold or overcooked but the fish and chips and burgers were generally well received. For a pub lunch, the Empire has average quality food, and I probably won’t rush back.
