We had dinner there on Saturday. We are new to “fine dining” experience. I found the staff very pleasant, linen napkins were placed on our laps by staff which I found funny but also made me feel quite special. We shared garlic bread entree to fill us up in case the meals were tiny which seems to be the norm in expensive restaurants I’ve googled. I had the pork belly which was yummy actually reminded me of a fancy boil up (pork and watercress) which I love. My husband had the fish which was simple and delicious, we had a dessert each. the chocolate delise and the brulie. They were really rich, the delise a chocoholics dream. We should have shared one desert. I thought the atmosphere and decor was fine due to candles and lighting to soften it.

The Food was good.
But when you find a hair of some sort in your dessert and the chef/owner argues with you about it and takes no responsibility for it, and doesnt apologize untill you get sick of hearing his excuses and just pay and start walking out it ruins the whole experience. No matter how good the food is I will never return due to the service from the chef/owner.

Needs a 3 1/2 star. Service was good but the decor and atmosphere don’t appeal. It’s very sterile – maybe ok for business but not for romance or even a relaxing night out.
I also found the prices were quite expensive, e.g. $18 for 5 medium-sized peeled prawn tails in tomato sauce as an entree. Neither of us can recall the other entree ordered so maybe it was not very memorable?
Mains were around $35. I had the pork belly which was very pleasant and although it looked very small, it was sufficiently rich to leave me feeling satiated. My partner had the paella which unfortunately was quite disappointing with little flavour. Would not order again. Sides were extra to order. We didn’t.
We finished by sharing the trio of desserts which were very good.
One beer, one glass of wine. All up, about $165.

I’ve been to this place quite a few times and the service has been from one extreme to another. Food always pretty good. Last time I went was on 2/4/11. We received a really good service. The wait staff was very polite. My husband had Pork Belly and it was absolutely amazing. When I put that piece of pork into my mouth, it simply sent me away to the happy place and I couldn’t stop smiling. I had Paella on the other hand it was not anywhere near Pork dish. It got no taste like it wasn’t seasoned so I was pretty disappointed with that. In overall the portion of food was very small with high price. I am happy to pay that much for great dish like pork though but definitely not paella, the one I had last time.

Food and service was great. Had the fish of day and duck. Tasted great. Atmosphere was more cafe style than fine dining as advertised in certain places.

What a treat, we had the lunch special today tuna pappadelle, amazingly flavoured and perfectly cooked pasta, with an attentive, smiling service and a very nice presented sticky date pudding.
delightful lunch on Hamilton’s garden place!

Went for Brunch and it was absolutely devine! 3 out of 4 of us altered our meals to suit our personal tastes and it wasn’t a problem for the chef. Service was great as well.

Have only been for lunch. Food is nice but quite pricey. Lovely sunny outdoor seating for summer.
