This is my local cafe, always good food and service, plus the coffee is some of the best around. They make some interesting, tasty salads and focaccias. It is a great place to come and get some different cheeses and deli meats if you want to make a nice antipasto platter. Definitely recommend!

My wife, daughter and I stopped here for Sunday brunch on an impulse.
The coffee was really good (hot and strong) but the meals (Spanish scrambled eggs, Calamari and BLAT) were ‘so so’, not being particularly flavoursome or filling in our opinion. The bacon in my daughters BLAT looked like it had been completely over cooked. I don’t usually complain but I took a piece of the bacon up to the counter and said that I’d appreciate it if she could give the chef some customer feedback on this. The young girl behind the counter seemed nonplussed by this which was a bit of a shame.
Overall a nice spot on a sunny morning and great coffee and reasonably prompt service but the meals were a bit disappointing.

I had a most scrumptious spanakopita, with a beautifully created rocket, avocado, tomato salad (invented on the spot just for me, as there were no vegetarian salads on offer on that day).
Partner had Spanish scrambled eggs, with olives, roasted peppers, feta and shallots served on toasted ciabatta bread (and he replaced the chorizo with avocado). He was in seventh heaven.
Really fabulous service. The waiter accidentally sold us a cider that had passed its best-by date … but he happily and apologetically replaced it with a more expensive and far more delicious one.
A lovely spot for a deli-cafe dine-in experience.

Having recently moved only a few hundred metres away, we love Didas on Jervois Rd which gave us the confidence to try their Takapuna outpost. Muffins, croissants and coffee were the order of the day and all were I am please to say: Most enjoyable! Didas take care to present their food in an enticing way and that just makes you want to buy something. Their staff also like and are very friendly to dogs not just their owners!
