love this place, the steak sauce with the prawns is to die for and all the rest is great to. not to expensive, great atmosphere, great staff, great location for parking.

So disappointing, every time. I absolutely love the atmosphere but the food is always average. I have even had wedges were were cold in the middle. Great location for after work drinks for those from Te Rapa, but will settle for fries next time.

Thank you Aloma for a great night! It was a nice place to bring the staff for our Christmas function and everybody had a great time. The price was good, meals yummy and the staff were friendly.

Hi Aloma
It was a great place to bring the staff for our Christmas function and everybody enjoyed their meals.
We had heard the meals were well priced but good- and they were. Ambience very good and staff helpful and friendly! Good table placement for the group. We will come again!

really like this place
looks like a good old pub, lotsa space, good live music on most weekends, is great for work drinks or a family meal depending on what time your going

Would diffinately come back. Food is pub food but what do you expect? Its a pub. In saying that though, food was of a high standard. Staff were attentive and friendly. We enjoyed our meals and the relaxe atmosphere and the price range is very good.

We often stop here when looking for somewhere for lunch when in Hamilton. Food is always nice, love the ginger beer but on our latest visit the staff could have been a bit more attentive. It was a friday lunch time and not overly busy. Ordered breads at the bar with out drinks and took menus to the table. When the breads were delivered (rather promptly) we were clearly ready to order but the were left at the table and we were then ignored by passing staff for the next 10 minutes before going to order at the bar

Like all Cock & Bull’s it is a bar trying to be a restaurant, or the other way around…
Food like most bar meals is basic but is cooked well at this Cock & Bull but is not a place if fie dinning. Have found them god for lunch but not for dinner.

My family and I often frequent the Cock & Bull and can honestly say we have never been disappointed, the service is fast and always friendly, the meals are great along with the prices. It doesn’t matter if they are full house or not the service doesn’t change – would love to see the bread and butter pudding back…. but always good, for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Don’t change a thing

We went here for our christmas function. I had the sefood chowder which was very thin almost like soup hardly any chuncks. Would recommend the steak meal which my partner had. Desert was reheated type and was quite dry. Overall for a pub style restraunt wasnt too bad.
