What a great night. On behalf of our group of 12 we had a fantastic evening. It was warm, pleasant the food was excellent, service was on the money and friendly. I would definitely recommend Chapati highly and has done so already.
Thanx for an awesome experience.

Have visited this Indian restaurant numerous times and I would go so far to say it is probably the best one around at the moment that I can find and believ me I have eaten a lot of curries in a lot of Country’s. So glad it’s local to us and it’s worth the drive if it’s not for anybody visiting.

I love Chapati !
I normally get take aways but have dined in as well.
The best thing I like about this place is that the curry is spicy! I always get a hot and get what I order !The curry’s are deep in flavour, and the portions are good. The food is fresh. The entrees are not heavy and fatty like I have had at other restaurants.
Staff there are always friendly and we can have a laugh with.

I found the service and the food very good. Prices are comparable with other similar restaurants.
Overall verdict: Very good all round

We have twice been to Chapati and can not complain about the food or the service which were both excellent. If I do have one gripe it is about the drink I ordered, 1 double Bourbon on Ice, I could barely taste the Bourbon and would have to ask how much it was watered down. That was on our first visit, the second tome we had a bottle of wine and no complaints from me!!!

My girlfriend and I always go to Chapati. I can confirmed to everyone reading this that Chapati is the best Indian Restaurant in the whole of Auckland. The service and environment are both 5 star, and the food is perfect every time.
Keep up the good work and keep the vouchers coming

My family and I are regular visitors to Chapati, we love the atmosphere, the staff and most importantly the food. The portions are large, filling and absolutely delicious. Definitely recommended.

My favourite restaurant! have been going every second tuesday for a few months now. It is excellent every time, great service and the best butter chicken ever! (although i do try and vary it up sometimes). Another thing that makes Chapati better than other restaurants is the presentation, both of the food and the restaurant itself.
Will be back two weeks on Tuesday

We have been going to Chapati since they were in Palamino. We love it! It’s our favourite Indian restaurant. Members of staff are genuinely warm and helpful, the prices are good, and the authentic Indian food is simply superb! We often take friends there when we want to impress them!

Really great authentic high quality Indian food, and great service. Only reason we don’t go there regularly is because it’s on Lincoln Rd – hard to get inspired.

We have used this restaurant twice for takeaway orders.
The Staff were great on the phone and lovely in person – the food was ready for us when we arrived and tasted wonderful when we got home, I have no idea if it tastes good reheated my family devour every grain of rice

I recommend Chapati to everyone who is looking for a good Indian meal. I’ve dined at Chapati several times, making sure to order something different each time and I have thoroughly enjoyed every meal. The food is fabulous, the service fast and friendly and all at a reasonable cost.

I have dined at Chapati’s more than five times. The food is good, the service okay, but suffers badly when the restaurant is over half full.
When we arrived for our meal, we were seated at a table for 8, there was 11 of us and I had booked a week early for 10. We complained at the lack of room and were reseated somewhere that fitted our numbers. That should have happened when we first arrived.
For a dinner booked at 7pm the meal lasted more then 4 hours. 1/2hr to have orders taken 1 1/2hrs to get entrees served and another hour after that for mains. My 79 year old grandmother didn’t cope well. (The dinner I ate there before this one was similar in it’s long wait and there were 7 of us then.)
One meal was sent back, my uncle thought the portion too small for $18. Though perhaps he was being picky.
We bought in total approx 10 spirits-based drinks and three bottles of white wine from the restaurant bar. In the light of that, I feel the corkage charge of 7 x $2.50pp for each bottle we brought in ourselves, was excessive – there were two bottles (total $35). But, as it was pointed out to us at the end of the meal, the charge was written on the wine list – $2.50 per head, per bottle. I didn’t look at the wine list as I had brought my own, so never saw the charge and didn’t think to inquire, as most places I have dined at haven’t charged more than $10 a bottle. What if they had charged all 11 of our party corkage? (I don’t know why they didn’t). That would have been a total cost of $55 – and can you even get 11 glasses out of one bottle of wine? Besides, corkage implies you get service with your wine – but we had to open it ourselves, pour it ourselves and even ask for extra glasses (which came in too hot, straight from the dishwasher).
Just to note, I complained about the corkage, but instead of an apology for any misunderstanding about the corkage cost, I was argued with. I would have accepted an apology and a refund with the understanding that I can abide by their charge should I go back again. But I won’t be doing that now, too many issues that were treated badly.
