If you are looking for a relaxed Mediterranean atmosphere, friendly service and great food, Cafe Olive is the place for you. Perfect for dinner with good friends, a catch up over tapas and a wine, or chilling with a coffee, muffin and a good book. Cafe Olive is run by Kirsty and Musti Cilekar and Emre Bozkurt. A real family business, our aim is to share our idea of hospitality with our customers. That is – warm, welcoming, relaxed, where a customer is a guest – the real Mediterranean way. Our chef has a talent for producing delicious food that fills you up and satisfies you. His menu has a range of food that caters to many tastes – and budgets. Emre has discovered that he has a natural talent for making coffee, ask anyone who’s had a coffee from him, he’s good! We also believe in supporting local Nelson businesses, we buy local where we can and have a good range of local beer and wine on our menu, including Sprig & Fern beer on tap… Pete’s Lemonade is a favourite and Shelly’s ‘Shortbread House’ gluten free bread is so delicious I eat it even though I’m a gluten eater. A friend of mine booked me in grabone at cafe olive a dinner for two..when we get there,the staff were very accomodating and assist our orders immediately. hmmm ..the food (tapas) were so great and yummy…they even give us another set of bread (dont know what its called) and a hot chocolate for free…it is our first time but i know it wouldnt be a last…. thumbs up!!!
my rate 9/10 keep it up.

I got a grab one deal for 4 beers and tapas. Great service and atmosphere. Tapas were good mostly just dips on tapas menu, would like to see a few more options. Beers on tap tasty, preferred the pilsner to the lager but that’s just me. Can’t comment on mains cause the tapas actually filled us up which is a good thing. Would recommend.
