What an awesome feast we had here! For only $12 each, we got a huge bowl of intensely delicious Korean style vegetables ( one of my favourites is the purple kumara stalks, salty and so full of flavour). The huge bowl came with a fried egg on top, and a bowl of rice to mix through it all. It’s called ‘bibimbap’ and we got the vegetarian version of it (coz it usually has meat or seafood in it too).
But my favourite part of Korean dining, is the refillable supply of complimentary side dishes. Including a yummy bean sprout dish, fish cake strips, spicy kimchi, tasty potato strips, and something else I can’t remember. Service was very friendly and they explained things we weren’t sure of, which was great.
I was dining with my best girl friend and our pre-schoolers who have good healthy appetites for veges, and they loved it too. Most other people were using the bbq cookers embedded in the table tops, which smelt delicious, but I was going vegetarian today.
My only recommendation would be that we wanted to try some authentic Korean desserts, but the only dessert was icecream, which the kids enjoyed.
Well definitely go again. We loved it.

I’ve been here twice using the Groupon voucher and had a great meal. I ordered calbi beef, which is rib eye so the meat was nice and tender. Very well marinated. And at least 7-8 small dishes of Korean dishes which are refillable. At least 1-4 dishes are non spicy and 3-4 are spicy. I cannot disagree more with the review below that also used voucher for the meal. They normally have 2 long strips of meat which is a standard amongst other restaurants. Plus the refillable sides makes the meal quite filling. The soup they provided has heavier taste, but you’re suppose to eat it with rice which makes it very tasty. I will be going back even without the voucher.

To cut it short, if you’re hungry, don’t bother, we bought 2 groupon “dinner for 2″ vouchers, my wife and I and 2 kids, we couldn’t choose what we wanted, we had to stick to their set menu, we all got a small bowl of rice, [had to pay extra for more rice] a bowl each of cabbage, a bowl each of soup that no one could eat, watery flavour and way too spicy/hot, and 4 small bowls of something to share, we never ate this as well as it was very hot, wife reckons it was a wasabi mix ,now I like heat in my food, a good curry is hard to beat, but there was nothing in this food, then we got to pick a meat, I picked the beef, what I got was one piece of thin schnitzel cut into 4 strips. To top it off, the dessert that came with the deal was 2 small scoops of ice cream, the price you pay for using those discounted meal coupons I suppose, you get what you’re given. I notice one review says they loved it and they only paid $35, well I paid $104 going on the face value of the voucher, never again.

Came in last night (17/04/12) and LOVED it. This was my first Korean BBQ experience and the staff were happy to help.
My partner and I ordered two beef dishes from the the BBQ menu (you cook this yourself at the table but there are meals you can order from the kitchen just like any other restaurant). Even though it doesn’t say this on their menu, this comes with a huge range of side dishes including salads, veges, soup, kimchi etc….
The meat was AMAZING – Well marinated and full of so much flavour. The side dishes were great and loved being able to try all the different things.
Our meal only came to $35 and our table was full of food – You definately get your moneys worth. Great experience & great food… Looking forward to going back soon!

I often go here during lunch but mostly for dinner.
Have always been greeted with a pleasant smile and waiter/waitresses that actually care about customer service and my enjoyment.
The food is top notch as well. I mainly go for the cold spicy noodles at lunch which is a no brainer on summer days to cool myself down. Having numerous types of cold noodles available (spicy and not spicy) is always an added bonus depending on my mood.
Dinner is great here. The smell of charcoal barbecue will test anyone’s taste buds remotely close to the premises. I generally go for the beef but others tend to prefer their pork. I say both are excellent and taste second to none.
Price is excellent too and for once, quality is not compromised by such a low price. Bi Won is definitely on one of my favorite restaurants list and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone who is on the look for a great place to dine.
