Good service but food was very average. Not very relaxing atmosphere, we could not hear each other talk thanks to the group functions inside.

My wife & I and 25 good friends recently celebrated our wedding anniversary at Bistro 222.
In terms of planning for the night, Shane made the whole process painless.
The set menu was superb. No one could fault the quality of the food (in fact our friends still rave about the calamari and eye fillet steak dishes). The service was fantastic. Little touches like personalised menu’s and setting up for pre dinner bubbles just added to a great night.
We will be back!

This morning my partner and I enjoyed brunch at Bistro 222. The atmosphere was relaxed with jazz/top 50 music playing pleasantly in the background.
I enjoyed the vegetarian eggs Benny: a very enjoyable deviation from the classic; it had 3 large field mushrooms, perfectly poached eggs, thick hollandaise and the extra bonus of favour-some cooked tomatoes and pesto on toasted french-stick. My partner enjoyed the big breakfast: full of quality ingredients without that “greasy” feel.
Coffee and juice rounded off the meal. A very pleasant start to our weekend. We will certainly be back. Perhaps to try the $25 2-course plus wine “express lunch”.

I have just come away from Bistro 222 saying the same thing as I have the other 3 times I’ve been there “that was the best meal for an amazing price – I have to go and write a fantastic review”
My last two visits have been for lunch on a Sunday and today (a Thursday) and what incredible value. The Express lunch with a glass of wine, and entree and a main all for $25!! I would have paid that for just the main and then some… You have to try it… you will not regret it.
The steak was perfectly cooked as was the fish of the day and the entrees were the perfect start… and the Chard Farm Pinot Gris … ahhh what a way to spend a lunch break before heading back to the office.
